I guess I haven't posted in a while; maybe I haven't had anything to say!!
So, I just finished watching The Daily Show and I have The Colbert Report on right now. I am surprised by how much TDS affected me tonight. For a news spoof show, there is so much that it contributes to our national media, and above all, it's what Jon Stewart brings to every episode. Tonight's guest, Akbar Ahmed, certainly recognized it as well. He compared Stewart's compassion, knowledge, and patriotism to our Founding Fathers, and though Stewart quickly made light of it, you could tell that he was deeply honored and maybe a little embarrassed. I feel the same as Mr. Ahmed, so thank you Jon Stewart for being the best [fake] news man on the air.

"The view from my apartment was the World Trade Center. And now it's gone. And they attacked it. This symbol of American ingenuity and strength and labor and imagination and commerce, and it is gone. But you know what the view is now? The Statue of Liberty. The view from the south of Manhattan is now the Statue of Liberty. You can't beat that." -Jon Stewart
